Sixth Offer Comes In For Massenburg
The offer is his sixth, joining the ones he already had from Bethune-Cookman, Gardner-Webb, North Carolina A&T, South Alabama and Southeast Missouri State.
Massenburg graduated from high school in North Carolina and had planned to head to North Carolina State, however, he wound up not qualifying, so he headed up to ASA to play and to get his academics in order.
"Things didn't work out because my son was being born and I wanted to go see that, so I left and never went back," Massenburg told JCFootball.com. "I took some time off and then enrolled up at Northeastern Oklahoma and was there for the spring, but financially, I just couldn't do it, so I came down here to Louisburg and I'll be here this fall."
Massenburg has not played a down of football at this point, but he's been hard at work taking more than a full course-load so he can get to a four-year school as soon as possible.
He will finish up his two-year degree in May and he will have four years to play three following the 2014 football season.
