Julius likes Louisville, plans to visit

Scout.com three-star prospect Jalen Julius, who recently decommitted from Florida, tells Cardinal Authority that he hopes to visit Louisville again.

While committed to Florida at the time, Jalen Julius, a Scout.com three-star prospect, made an unofficial visit with Louisville in June and that experience now puts the Cardinals program in a strong position for eventually landing his services.

On Sunday, the standout wide receiver/cornerback announced his decommitment from the Gators program.

“Right now I'm open,” he told Cardinal Authority. “I'm seeing what schools are interested in me and what they have to say. I'm looking at any school right now.”

While he's open to all interested schools, he's not starting completely from scratch as three schools currently stand above the others.

“I like Louisville, Ole Miss and Ohio State,” said Julius, who also has Auburn, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Wake Forest among his 22 scholarship offers.

Julius enjoyed the family-like atmosphere among the team at Louisville and anticipates making a return visit later in the year.

“When I went there I really liked the vibe there,” he said. “I really like the coaching staff up there and what they are doing there. I just like the vibe there a lot. I plan on taking an official visit back up there.”

Julius explained that he has built “a good relationship with the coaches” at Ole Miss and “really liked that campus” at Ohio State.

Wisconsin became the latest to offer the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder.

“They offered me [Tuesday],” he said. “I really liked it because they said that I could come in and start as a freshman.”

Julius plans to make a few official visits and possibly make a commitment in December.
