Ryan Davis Goes One on One About the Gators

WR Ryan Davis

With the University of Florida needing playmakers in the class of 2015, it would only make sense they are looking at 5-foot-11, 165-pound standout wide receiver Ryan Davis. Davis checks in from Saint Petersburg (Fla) Lakewood High School. He is unsure if he will be able to attend Friday night but has a good relationship with the Florida coaching staff.

Ryan Davis is a four-star wide receiver the Florida Gators would very much like to sign in the class of 2015. Davis has a close relationship with more than a few of the Florida coaches.

"The recruiting process has been great," Davis said. "You can't let it beat you up and you can't listen to people on the outside. It's a business, and you have to treat it like one and make the best decision for you. My relationships with the coaches are off the charts. I talk to coach [Will] Muschamp all the time, coach [Chris] Leak, coach [Brian] White and [Drew] Hughes."

The Gator coaches are in search of playmaking wide receivers and are still hopeful he can attend, but it's up in the air.

"I'm not sure if I will be at Friday Night Lights yet," Davis said.

Davis is a very smart football player who keeps to himself away from the game. He understands what's at stake moving forward, and the Gators are right in the middle of the Ryan Davis race.

"My key factors that will go into my decision is my relationship with the coaches," Davis said. "You will get a great education from anywhere and great facilities and also does the scheme fit me."

How would Ryan Davis breakdown his game?

"Ryan Davis is one of those people who has straight dog in him," Davis said. "He will rise to the occasion and will not be out worked. Things I do well are my ability to make people miss in space, my speed strong hands, quick, can cut on a dime and my ability to catch everything in the air. Things I should work on is just becoming a technician in what I do."
