Causey and Scarlett: Back on the Map at USC

FAU commits Rashard Causey and Jordan Scarlett are keeping their options open and plan on visiting South Carolina in the near future.

Ft. Lauderdale-native cornerback Rashard Causey has put himself back on the map. After a visit to South Carolina last week, Causey is keeping his options open.

Causey committed to Florida Atlantic back in April but is being pursued heavily by other schools like Miami, Clemson, and Auburn. Last October, the cornerback had offers from over 20 schools.

The three-star commit will be back in Columbia the next couple of weeks. However, not for an official visit. Causey is said to be good friends with sophomore Skai Moore, his high school teammate.

FAU may have another wavering prospect coming to visit South Carolina.

Running back Jordan Scarlett is trying to plan a visit with the garnet and black and even an official visit for this fall.

The four-star recruit was high school teammates with Causey at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale.

Scarlett notes that South Carolina is looking at a good chance of a future commitment from him. Noting the connections between all three of these players, it could be good news for the Gamecocks.

The running back is noted for his strength and ability to hold off defenders. His physical appearance is nothing less than collegiate, and Scout.com has Scarlett ranked at the no.4 spot in his position.
