Cook Enjoys Unofficial Visit to Arkansas

Arkansas is looking at former White Hall and current Eastern Arizona fullback/linebacker Tim Cook as an athlete and will evaluate him during the 2014 season.

Eastern Arizona fullback/linebacker Tim Cook took an unofficial visit to Arkansas last week.

The former White Hall star enjoyed his time in Fayetteville and got to talk to Arkansas assistant coach Barry Lunney, Jr.

"I talked to him for about 45 minutes," Cook said. "He said they are looking at me as an athlete."

Cook (6-1, 235) said that the Razorbacks would evaluate him during the season to determine which position they will recruit him at.

The visit also gave him an opportunity to see his former high school teammate and current Arkansas tight end Jeremy Sprinkle.

The two ran into each other after Cook toured the locker room, which he saw for the first time during the unofficial visit.

"I've been there before, but I had never been on the inside," Cook said. "It was a real good time. Things are real nice there."

Next week, Cook will take an unofficial visit to Louisville and Cincinnati, which are only about an hour and a half apart. He plans to hold off on official visits to Cal and Wisconsin until the fall.

During the summer, he said he hopes to improve his speed.

"I always have things I can improve on," Cook said. "I'm trying to get my speed down. If I can push a 4.3, then things will be even better. I ran a 4.44 during spring ball. I've been so close. I'm also going to work on footwork and being more agile." Recommended Stories
