MADISON - The run of linemen continues for the University of Wisconsin
Four days after Seymour (WI) four-star offensive tackle Jon Dietzen committed to the Badgers, Northville (MI) offensive lineman David Moorman became the fifth prospect to join Wisconsin's 2015 recruiting class.
Proud to announce that I have decided to commit to play football at the University of Wisconsin! Couldn't be more excited to be a badger!— David Moorman (@MoorDaddy) May 7, 2014
A four-star recruit, Moorman is ranked the No.28 offensive tackle in the country and the No.296 overall prospect by Scout.com. He chose Wisconsin over offers from Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan. He was also getting interest from Michigan and Michigan State.
Moorman is the first Michigan player from the lower peninsula to commit to Wisconsin since Hemlock's Zac Matthias in the 2009 recruiting class.
Wisconsin offered the 6-5, 280-pound junior last week, and said at the time that the offer made him speechless. He previously visited in February for the school's junior day
BadgerNation will have much more on Moorman this afternoon
