| As a junior, Devin Smith had 53 tackles and seven interceptions defensively. As a running back he had 28 carries for 206 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned one put for a touchdown; Smith says he can bench 320 pounds, squat 415 and has a 36-inch vertical jump.
Final senior (7-3) stats: 40 tackles and five interceptions (three returned for scores). On offense Smith had 22 catches for 470 yards and five touchdowns.
Smith reports a 3.6 core GPA and a 1450 SAT.
Smith: "I'm able to read and have great awareness. I know what the quarterback or wide receiver is gonna do and I can break on the ball easily. I want to work on loosening my hips and not get turned around when going after the receiver."
