Named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team ... also chosen for USCHO.com and Insidecollegehockey.com All-Rookie Teams ... led Badgers with 16-29=45 ... first rookie since Dany Heatley (1999–00) to lead team in scoring ... shared the national scoring lead among freshmen ... led WCHA rookies with a 1.10 points-per-game average ... began UW career with five multi-point efforts (5-6=11) ... posted team-high 12 multi-point games ... set career mark with 2-2=4 in first WCHA playoff game against Alaska Anchorage (March 11) ... shared team lead with six power-play tallies and five in WCHA games ... had eight-game point streak (Nov. 27-Jan. 7)

Before Pavelski Was a Badger: Spent 2002–03 and 2003–04 with the USHL’s Waterloo Black Hawks ... named USA Hockey Junior Player of the Year after helping Waterloo to the 2004 Clark Cup, the trophy awarded to the U.S. Junior A Tier I national champions ... captained the team ... ranked second on the squad with 21-31=52 in 54 games ... led the team with six goals and 12 points during the postseason run ... named to the USHL/Prospects game for the second-straight year ... captained the 2004 USA Hockey Junior Select Team that won silver at the Viking Cup in Camrose, Alberta ... collected four goals and eight points in six games of tournament play ... led the Black Hawks to their first Eastern Division title with a league-leading 36 goals and team-best 69 points ... ranked third in the league in overall scoring ... named the 2003 USHL Rookie of the Year ... during his junior year at Stevens Point Area Senior High School he scored 43 goals through 25 games to help his team win the Wisconsin High School State Tournament in 2002 ... also captained Team Wisconsin to the USA Hockey national championship that year
