Michael Taylor, an Ashwaubenon, Wis., native and Badger football commitment caught up with Badger Nation last night to discuss his official visit this past weekend.

“Well, we got to Madison around 2:00 p.m. on Friday”, he said. “We checked into the hotel, then went to the stadium for a meet and greet session.”

Taylor a 6-foot-2, 205 pound linebacker was hosted by future teammate Blake Sorensen.

“Blake is a great guy, I had a good time with him”, said Taylor. “He is a really good host.”

On Saturday, Taylor took in the Badger Men’s Basketball game, as they played Marquette.

“We went to the Marquette game on Saturday, but we only stayed until half-time”, he said. “At half-time we went to Kellner hall and ate dinner; then later that night we went out and walked the streets around campus.”

Before Friday, Taylor had not been in contact with any of the Wisconsin commitments.

“I previously wasn’t it touch with any of them”, he said. “So it was fun to hang out with my future teammates and get to know them; it’s always nice when to get the chance to talk with them.”

While on his visit, Taylor also did a little recruiting of his own. “I think Darius Parish was the only one taking an official who wasn’t committed”, he said. “We told him what was up; we put some pressure on him.”

Growing up a Wisconsin Badger fan, Michael Taylor never thought he would be playing college football at the University of Wisconsin. “It’s just awesome”, stated Taylor. “I can’t wait!”
