The Hockey Humanitarian Award Foundation announced Thursday that Wisconsin senior defenseman Dan Boeser is one of five finalists for the annual honor.

Boeser joins New Hampshire senior forward Patrick Foley, Canisius junior defenseman Mark Persick, Babson College senior forward Derek Nisula and Northeastern women’s netminder Chanda Gunn, a transfer from Wisconsin, as finalists for the Hockey Humanitarian Award, which will be presented April 9 as part of the NCAA Frozen Four festivities.
