This prospect along with his teammate visited Wisconsin this past weekend. Chris Miller is a special teams prospect that could end up signing with the Badgers.

Illinois has a couple of solid kickers that will be recruited in 2003. Chris Miller is a 6-foot-3, 190-pounder, from Mundelein (Ill.) Carmel that has kicked on the varsity level for the past two seasons.

“Chris was named all-state last year,” said Carmel head coach Andy Bitto. “Wisconsin is very high on Chris and several other schools have expressed an interest as well.

“Chris handles all of our kicking duties but I feel he could be a better punter at the next level. He was named all-state last year also.”

Does Miller have any scholarship offers yet?

“No, no offers yet,” Miller said. “I went to Wisconsin this past weekend with (teammate) Jack Simmons but I didn’t get offered.

“Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Colorado are my favorites.”

Miller averaged 42 yards per punt as a junior and had a long field goal of 45 yards. Long attempted was 52 yards.
