First Half
First Quarter
7-0 Wisconsin
3 plays, 27 yards, 1:16 TOP, :48 remaining
Garrett Graham two-yard pass from Allan Evridge (Phil Welch kick)
Key Play: On a three-and-long pass attempt, big Matt Shaughnessy was able to deflect the pass attempt high into the air. The ball eventually found its way into the hands of senior linebacker DeAndre Levy and the Badgers had prime field position at the Fresno 27
Second Quarter
10-0 Wisconsin
12 plays, 49 yards, 5:07 TOP, 6:21 remaining
FG Phil Welch 38
Key Play: A 10-yard holding penalty on John Moffitt seemed to stall UW's drive. Evridge was able to put UW back in field goal range with a 14 yard catch-and-run to Maurice Moore.
Second Half
Third Quarter
10-7 Wisconsin
4 plays, 77 yards, 2:01 TOP, 10:26 remaining
Devon Wylie 47 yard catch from Tom Brandstater (Kevin Goessling kick)
Key Play: It was nothing special that Fresno State did after Bandstater connected with Goessling as what Wisconsin did not do. Simply horrible tackling effort by Casillas and Valai allowed Wylie to go the distance.
13-7 Wisconsin
6 plays, 17 yards, 2:19 TOP, 3:28 remaining
FG Welch 23
Key Play: A huge mistake by Fresno State has wiped away all its momentum. On a Nortman punt, the pigskin bounced once before it knocked into an unsuspecting Bulldog, as UW recovered on Fresno State's 24.
13-10 Wisconsin
9 plays, 65 yards, 3:02 TOP, :15 remaining
FG Gossling 33
Key Play: The key to the drive was a play that went for zero yards. Replays clearly showed that Wisconsin forced a fumble and would have been in prime position deep in Fresno territory. However, the WAC officiating crew 'overturned' the play and bailed out the Bulldogs. A couple plays later, Matthews turned a screen pass into a 61-yard gain inside the Wisconsin 10.
