Albert Young has set a few visits, but is focused on trying to win a state championship.
At 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, Moorestown, N.J. standout running back
Albert Young
has helped his team reach the state semifinals. "We just to have to finish strong and win these last couple games," he said. "I'm only 362 yards away from becoming south Jersey's all-time leading rusher, but that doesn't matter to me right now. I want to win it all. That's more important to me."
Young, whose 860 SAT scores makes him a full qualifier inside the classroom, also talked about the recruiting process. "It's actually sort of winding down some," he said. "Not as many coaches are calling since I've been setting up my visits. I've got Wisconsin (Dec. 6 or Dec. 13, depending on state title game),
Boston College
, and
Iowa
(Jan. 17). I'm not sure on
Penn State
now because I guess they have some guys committed. I'll probably also check out
Virginia
or
Rutgers
. I'm saving a spot for
Miami
too, so we'll see what happens with that."
The standout running back talked more about his situation with the Hurricanes. "I talked to them a little over two weeks ago," he said. "I actually called [Greg Mark] last night on his cell phone to see if they had gotten the film we sent. They haven't offered me yet."
