Curt Phillips, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound, quarterback, from Kingsport (Tenn.) Sullivan, is verbally…
"My mom and I are flying to Madison this Sunday," Curt Phillips told Badger Nation. "I'm really not bringing a whole lot with me except my warm clothes. My dad is going to join my mom and I next week. I'm looking forward to getting on campus and starting my college experience." We asked Phillips what he expects from his true-freshman year at Wisconsin. "The coaches haven't said anything about taking a red-shirt or anything like that." Phillips said. "Right now I just plan on coming in and working hard and learning. When you go to a big-time program, there will be other quarterbacks in the program that are good. I plan on working hard and doing the best I can.. "I'm completely healthy and I'm ready to go. I'll start working out next week and I'll be getting ready for classes to start later this month." What was it like for Phillips to see his childhood favorite, Tennessee, play his future team, Wisconsin, in the Outback Bowl? "It was definitely wild," he said. "The game was really fun to watch. I think I've said this before but I'm not a die-hard Tennessee guy. Tennessee runs a pro-style offense so I knew they probably wouldn't recruit me. I'm confident that I found the best school for me in Wisconsin." Click on the link below to see more video clips from Curt Phillips senior season.
