Matt Fleming - Anatomy of a Fullback Carry

In the 4th quarter of UW's game with Indiana, Bill Rentmeester got the rare chance for consecutive carries. On the second carry Gabe Carimi and Mickey Turner opened a gap that resulted in a 16 yard gain. Successful plays like this are key against the Buckeyes.


As Rentmeester takes the handoff, Mickey Turner cut blocks Indiana's DE Brian Faires and Carimi seals DT Greg Brown.


Carimi finishes his block and Rentmeester sees the gap.


Turner has his man down and Renmeester is into the gap.


Carimi completes the seam and the fullback is into the clear for a 16-yard gain.
