Kyle Jefferson likes Wisconsin

Many great players have walked the halls of Glenville HS in Cleveland, Ohio in the past five years. Perhaps the next great player is wide receiver Kyle Jefferson. In this premium update, hear about his latest recruiting timetable and his love of the Badger football program.

The clock is still ticking for Cleveland (Glenville), Ohio wide receiver Kyle Jefferson. But, it may be going a bit faster now.

Jefferson, who is being courted Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State, and Indiana among others, hopes to make a decision after the new year turns.

"I am still scheduled to visit Indiana on the 12th of January." Jefferson said. "But, I want to get it done (make a decision) in January."

He recently visited Iowa and said that the visit went fine. "Well, Iowa was ‘OK'. Nice campus and good coaches."

When you ask him about Wisconsin, he has a bit more excited tone.

"Wisconsin is a great place with great coaches." the speedy wide receiver proclaims. "They offer early playing for me, which is a big thing. The coaches say I have a chance to step right in there. I would just need to stay focused and things would work out well."

He really likes Wisconsin WR coach Henry Mason. "Great guy that will talk about life with me, too. That is a good thing."

For the holidays, he plans on spending time with family and is looking forward.

"I have got a big family." He says. "It is going to be fun to hang out with everybody. We have a good time."

BadgerNation take on Jefferson

He does not list a favorite, but Wisconsin has certainly made a good impression on him. If I were laying odds on whether or not he will be a Badger, I would put him at 2 to 1. I think that the Badgers may be the leading contender in the battle for his services. In fact, I have heard from a VERY good source that Wisconsin is more than likely is his leader and his head/shoulders above the rest.
