Badgers get No. 1 overall seed

UW will play Bemidji State in a regional semifinal Saturday at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon, Wis.

The University of Wisconsin men’s hockey team is the No. 1 overall seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The Badgers will face Bemidji State, the fourth seed in the Midwest Regional and the No. 16 overall seed in the tournament, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon, Wis.

The Beavers (20-13-3) are led by junior forwards Luke Erickson (16 goals, 19 assists, 35 points), Ryan Miller (17-12-29) and Rob Sirianni (16-13-29).

Bemidji State tied for second place in the College Hockey America regular season and won the conference tournament to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
