Marcus Landry (UW Athletics)

Stiemsma expected to miss Saturday's game; Landry's status is uncertain

Forward Marcus Landry was present at the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team's practice Thursday, but his status for Saturday's home game against North Dakota State remains uncertain. Landry was declared ineligible for Wednesday's game at Ohio State for academic reasons.

The Badgers had an atypical practice Thursday. The afternoon's workout amounted to going over the scouting report and watching film.

But two of the three players who did not travel to Columbus were in attendance Thursday. The other was guard Mickey Perry, a freshman who is redshirting. The reason for Perry's absence Wednesday is unknown.

Sophomore center Greg Stiemsma remained absent Thursday and is not expected to play Saturday. He is taking a temporary leave of absence for an undisclosed medical reason.
