Post players did not make trip to Columbus

Sophomore center Greg Stiemsma and freshman forward Marcus Landry will miss tonight's men's basketball game at Ohio State and did not make the trip to Columbus with their Badger teammates.

Stiemsma is taking a temporary leave of absence from the team for personal medical reasons, while Landry was declared ineligible for the OSU game, according to a press release.

Stiemsma and Landry have been two of UW's top reserves all season and part of its four-player post rotation, along with starting center Jason Chappell and starting forward Brian Butch.

Stiemsma has averaged a team-high 1.5 blocks, 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.7 minutes per game, appearing in all 16 games.

Landry has also appeared in all 16 games and averaged 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game. Recommended Stories
