Notes from Wisconsin’s 41-24 win over Indiana Saturday

• With the win over Indiana, Wisconsin owns a 10-game home winning streak, the longest in the modern era. The streak dates back to Wisconsin’s 34-6 win over Central Florida Sept. 4, 2004. The Badgers all-time, home-winning-streak record was a 25-game stretch from 1900-03.

• The attendance at Camp Randall Saturday was 82,330, the fourth-highest in Camp Randall history.

• Firsts for everyone: Redshirt freshman cornerbacks Jack Ikegwuonu and Allen Langford each grabbed their first career interceptions, while junior free safety Roderick Rogers picked up his first career fumble recovery on sophomore right tackle Nick Hayden’s first career forced fumble. Hayden also recovered his first career fumble on junior left end Joe Monty’s first career forced fumble. Wisconsin’s four takeaways Saturday were the most in a game since Nov. 9, 2002, when Wisconsin had three interceptions and two fumbles recovered against Illinois.

• Junior quarterback John Stocco’s 274 passing yards Saturday are the second-best of his career; he threw for 297 against Minnesota Nov. 6, 2004. Stocco has 2,977 career passing yards to date, 10th on UW’s all-time list.

• Senior receiver Jonathan Orr’s 47-yard catch in the first quarter Saturday was the longest of his career and the second-longest pass of Stocco’s career; the longest pass of the quarterback’s career was a 52-yarder to tight end Owen Daniels Sept. 4, 2004. Orr caught another 47-yarder in the fourth quarter.

• Wisconsin is 5-0 for the fifth time in head coach Barry Alvarez’ career.

• Alvarez is 5-1 against Indiana when either team has someone with the last name Randle El on the roster. Marcus Randle El is a sophomore receiver at Wisconsin; his brother Curtis played at Indiana from 1996-99 and his brother Antwaan was there from 1998-2001.

• Freshman receiver James Hardy scored on an 83-yard touchdown reception Saturday, becoming the first Hoosier to score a receiving touchdown in his first four games since IU All-American Ernie Jones had a touchdown reception in each of his first five games in 1987. Saturday’s contest was Hardy’s third 100-yard receiving day in four games. Hardy led both teams with 157 receiving yards and seven receptions.

• Indiana senior outside linebacker Josh Moore’s second-quarter interception was the first for the Hoosiers’ defense this year. It was also Moore’s first pick since Aug. 30, 2003.

• Indiana’s touchdowns of 83 and 46 yards were the third and fourth touchdowns of 40-plus yards for the Hoosiers this season.
