Volleyball to have three games televised

The Wisconsin volleyball team will play for a television audience three times this fall, the Big Ten has announced. The Badgers will be on national television when they host Minnesota Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Wisconsin will also grace regional Fox Sports Net twice: at Penn State, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. and home v. Michigan State, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.

Former Badger takes college coaching job

Bethany Brewster, a former distance runner at the University of Wisconsin, has accepted a position as the head women's cross country coach at Edgewood College. Brewster will also be an assistant with the men's team at Edgewood, located a few miles west of the UW campus in Madison.

Brewster earned All-American honors three times in indoor track, twice in outdoor track and once in cross country while lettering at Wisconsin from 1998-2003. She recently finished 13th in the 1,500 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Bryant hearing scheduled

Former Badger Wendell Bryant's pre-trial conference on drunk driving and other traffic violations is scheduled for Sept. 17 in Dane County Circuit Court. Bryant was charged with operating under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level over .10, speeding and running a red light July 12 and entered a written not guilty plea July 20.
