Harris a "BIG" Wisconsin Target

Transferring to Janesville Parker to finish the final three years of high school, 360-pound 2017 offensive lineman Juan Harris already holds an offer from Wisconsin.

One of the biggest players in the nation is Janesville Parker sophomore defensive tackle Prep Juan Harris, who is transferring from Niles (IL) Notre Dame College and is carrying a whopping 360 pounds on his 6-3 frame.

While he has the burst and strength to excel at the next level, he still has time to sharpen his skills, which is why many schools in the Midwest have already taken notice, including Wisconsin.

“I do have an offer from Wisconsin and I visited them back on March 28th,” Harris told BadgerNation. “I went there for a visit and I was talking to Coach Ben Strickland and Coach Andersen about the offer. I was shocked about the offer because I didn't think they would be that interested.”

Despite having three years of high school left, Harris knows where he would be going if he had to pick a school today.

“If I had to commit right now, Wisconsin would be it,” said Harris. “Their program is personal, great education wise and (a great) football program. They are my top school. I have been thinking about committing really hard. I want too but I want to see what other schools got to offer.”

Harris’ recruitment exploded this offseason after an impressive freshmen season and strong performance at the NFTC in Chicago earlier in the year. Now he is taking everything in stride.

“I'm enjoying the recruiting process because before my freshman season I wasn't getting no schools at all,” said Harris. “After the season I wasn't either, so now I'm loving it. I had a great season. I broke records for my school. I was the first freshman to start on varsity the whole season. I am known as the top freshman in state, other than A.J. Epenesa, and a top defensive tackle in the nation.”

Planning to wait after the season to visit more schools, Harris only plans to visit Ohio State.
