Orr Grabs First Big Ten Offer

The University of Wisconsin has offered a lot of high-ranking prospects in the state of Texas, but secondary coach Bill Busch evidently saw something in Desoto (TX) junior outside linebacker Chris Orr that other schools have yet to see.

With so many recruits in the Lone Star State, some can get overlooked. Desoto (TX) junior outside linebacker Chris Orr doesn't have the lofty ranking or impressive offer list, but caught the eye of secondary coach Bill Busch enough to earn a Wisconsin scholarship offer.

"Wisconsin offered me on Memorial Day," Orr told BadgerNation. "Coach Busch called me and I was extremely excited because of the style of defense they play and that Chris Borland was one of my favorite linebackers. He talked to me about how I could come in and play early also how my first collegiate game would be against Alabama in AT&T stadium if I do decide to go to Wisconsin."

"I am very interested in them and I do plan on visiting sometime this June. I like their physical style of defense and I'll narrow down who is my leader after my visits."

The athletic 6-0, 190-pound linebacker holds additional offers from North Texas and Nevada. He updates his visit plans and breaks down his game.

"I have workouts planned for Missouri and Arkansas," said Orr. "Those two along with Wisconsin are where I plan on visiting. I describe my game as physical, intelligent, technical and athletic."
