2015 Focus: Defensive Tackles

BadgerNation breaks down which defensive tackles Wisconsin is looking at in the 2015 class, and where the Badgers stand with them.

With a lot of Wisconsin offers out for the 2015 class, we examine which positions the Badgers need to concentrate on in the next recruiting cycle.

We focus next on the defensive tackles. Barring attrition and transfers in the next year this is what the class would look like when the 2015 class would come in.

Seniors: None

Juniors: Arthur Goldberg

Sophomores: Jeremy Patterson

Freshman: Unknown

In back-to-back years, Wisconsin will lose Beau Allen and Warren Herring, meaning it's essential for UW to add some athletic bulk to the middle of its defensive line. Who is still out there for the Badgers in 2015?

Top Targets

Offers: Florida State, Illinois, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, among others.

UW's Chances: Having recently visited Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee, Wisconsin will try to get Taylor (pictured above) on campus this summer after offering him in late April.

Long Shots

Offers: Arkansas, Baylor, California, Colorado, Iowa, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Texas, USC, among others.

UW's Chances: Daniels will likely stay in state and Baylor could be the school of choice.

UW's Chances: Abercrumbia came out with the above final four at the end of April and appears he wants to decide soon. Wisconsin offered in the last week.

Offers: Arizona State, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, TCU, Texas, among others.

UW's Chances: A one-time Texas commit, English said in late April that he will visit Arizona State, Iowa and Notre Dame in the near future. Wisconsin has offered since then, so the Badgers could get a visit on his Midwest swing.

Offers: Arizona State, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, NC State, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, USC, among others.

UW's Chances: A one-time Miami commit, Johnson felt he rushed into his commitment and needed to take a step back to consider all the schools on his list. He said he is in no rush to name a leader or commit to a school, but it doesn't seem like UW is sitting strong right now.
