"Wisconsin is a huge offer that I landed," Alexander told BadgerNation. "They are a great football team. I know they like to run the ball a lot. They have a power running game, which they do well, but I also play defense. I have that on my highlight tape as well. If schools see that, I have a chance to contribute on the defensive side as well."
An early three-star receiver by Scout.com, Alexander had 75 receptions for 741 yards and four touchdowns. He played defense – mainly safety with a little time at cornerback - for the first time this past season and said he exceeded his expectations.
"I really didn't discuss it (with Wisconsin) after getting the offer," said Alexander. "I was just really excited about the offer."
With Beatty having recruited the state hard during the 2014 recruiting cycle, as well as starting to build a relationship with Alexander, the 6-3, 210-pound prospect has started to do research and a pay a little bit closer attention to Wisconsin.
"It's a great Big Ten school," said Alexander. "I just know it's a great division 1 school and they are definitely in my top (four), as far as offers I have right now."
Having visited Alabama last fall and been invited to numerous junior days and summer camps, Alexander is hoping for big things on the horizon.
"I hope that it's going to be a busy time for me," said Alexander. "I am hoping to go down to some SEC camps. That's where big time football is. I just want to hit the circuit and see what happens."
