James Excited to See Wisconsin

Add Niles (IL) Notre Dame College Prep senior Chris James' name to an already impressive list of weekend visitors for Wisconsin, as the four-star running back is anxious to see one of his top schools in action.

Wisconsin has one running back committed - Taiwan Deal – in 2014 and has five-star tailback Joe Mixon at the top of its wanted list, but the Badgers are looking to add a third and final piece to their backfield in this class.

One of their other top targets on the board is Niles (IL) Notre Dame College Prep senior running back Chris James, who has his sights on taking a visit to Madison this weekend.

"I am planning on visiting Wisconsin this weekend for an unofficial visit," James told BadgerNation."I want to visit because they are still very much in the picture. They are telling me that I would be a perfect fit in their offense.

"What I like about Wisconsin is their campus and their running back tradition. They want me to come back out for a visit, so I am trying to do that."

The 5-10, 207-pound four-star prospect, ranked No.23 at his position by Fox Sports Next, has been keeping his top choices close to his chest, but opened up and talked about what two schools he has currently leading the pack and if a decision could be on the horizon.

"Well, pretty much Wisconsin and Pittsburgh are my top two, but this is nothing final," said James. "They are just the two schools that are leading the charge now. I just like what they are bringing to the table with a great education and a chance to play early.

"I think I will decide early. I am not sure yet on how early or anything like that. I'm not making any decision until I take some of my official visits."

Before he picks the college he decides to go to, James is working on staying perfect with his team his final season and becoming more of a complete back.

"My season is going great," said James. "We are undefeated. I think I have like 400 yards in three games and five touchdowns. I am still working on things like just being patient and letting my blocks set up. I just got to keep on working."
