After many months of contact, Johnson can finally add the University of Wisconsin to his list of suitors.
"I got offered by Wisconsin and I don't remember exactly how it all went down, but I think my coach told me the news," Johnson told BadgerNation. "I was very happy and it was a good offer to pick up. They are a huge school in terms of offensive linemen. That is big to me considering I am an offensive lineman."
Johnson sits as the No. 9 tackle in the nation with a high four star ranking, but is throwing that all out the window and is more concerned about winning in his senior season.
"My season is going good," said Johnson. "We are 1-0 and we are ready to make it 2-0. I have served some pancakes out this season already (but) I could always give more. I think the best part about my game is my adversity to never give up. I always dig deep. I still need to work on though some mental stuff like steps and little things of that nature."
With his focus on his season, one of the Midlands region's best players is in no rush on any decisions with his senior season in full throttle. He's already visited Alabama, Florida State and Ole Miss and wants to visit more campuses before making his decision, including a stop in Madison.
"To be honest I am not sure yet where I am going to visit this fall and how many officials I will even take," said Johnson. "I don't know when I will decide either. I do know that I don't have a top list."
