One of the top priorities for Wisconsin
in the 2015 class is Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton outside linebacker Osa Masina
. He recently went on a Midwest road trip and his last stop was at Madison, getting the opportunity to spend time with head coach Gary Andersen
and his staff.
"It went real good at Wisconsin," Masina told Badger Nation. "I toured the campus and facilities. I also got to talk with the coaching staff and went into town. I really like Wisconsin.
"I talked with all the coaches, including Coach Andersen, and the talk was about a lot of things. I also talked with Defensive Coordinator Coach Aranda about football. I just really like the coaches and what they all had to say and how great they were to my family and me."
While he got to do a lot in Madison during his time, Masina thought the highlight of his visit had to be just meeting and talking to Andersen.
"The best part of the visit was sitting and talking to Coach Andersen," said Masina. "I think he is a great guy and coach. My family was very impressed and it was very much worth the trip. I loved the town and the atmosphere."
The highly touted 6-4, 205-pound versatile Masina got to see a lot of colleges these last couple of days, so did anyone stand out?
"I liked all my visits in Notre Dame, Michigan and Wisconsin," said Masina. "I'm not going to make favorites yet, but Wisconsin made a great first trip impression. We are definitely going to try and catch a Badgers game or two this season."
With him traveling around to see some of his schools of interest, Masina will turn his attention his upcoming season.
"I am now focusing on the season, which is definitely the most important thing to me right now," said Masina. "I've missed two days and I'm already kicking myself for it. I will work hard and be ready to have a big season this year."
The final stop on his three-city college tour, Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton outside linebacker Osa Masina recaps an impressive first trip to Madison, and hopes to come back for a football game in the fall.
