Indispensable Badger #50

Indispensable Badger #50

Counting down the days to Wisconsin opens training camp, Badger Nation's new summer feature will rank the 50 most indispensable players of the 2013 Wisconsin football team. Today we reveal No.50.

A.J. Jordan

Position: Wide Receiver

Experience: Redshirt Sophomore

2012 Stats: Saw time at Indiana on Nov. 10, against Minnesota on Oct. 20, at Purdue on Oct. 13, at Nebraska on Sept. 29 and at Oregon State on Sept. 8 ... made Badger debut against Northern Iowa on Sept. 1.

Strengths: Freak athlete that can block just as effectively as a tight end.

Weaknesses: Needs to work on catching the ball consistently and a sub-par route runner.

Overall: The native of Dayton, Ohio, is looking to contribute to the offense this upcoming season after seeing action in six games last season. Jordan, a four-star recruit out of high school by Fox Sports Next, is slowly making his way up the depth chart. Behind sophomore Reggie Love and senior standout Jared Abbrederis, Jordan will be a strong option if either of them are injured.

Jordan has tremendous athleticism but needs to work on the fundamentals such as route running and catching the ball on a more consistent basis. He has the size and jumping ability to make the long-ball effective for the Badgers.

Considered to be third on the depth chart, look for Jordan to step in for a few reps and gain valuable experience as he will be needed to step up in the years to come.

Up Next: A part of the offense since a true freshman, this player will be counted on to elevate Wisconsin's offense to another level this season
