Hard work paying off for Cali corner

'14 DB Adarius Pickett out of El Cerrito High in California is quite happy with the offers that are rolling in. He talks to GBW about what he thinks about Michigan, his offers, as well as his experience at the Army All-American combine.

Adarius Pickett is very glad to see the attention that he is getting it is because of one reason that he can see. "I am very glad to see all the hard work that I have done is finally paying off for me," he told GoBlueWolverine. "The offers prove that."

Colleges from all over the country have been offering and inquiring about the physical CB out of Cali. One of those schools is the University of Michigan.

"I like Michigan because of their tradition," he said, "and they are a good football program whom I have had the chance to see on TV this past season. I like the way #6 (Ramon Taylor) plays.

Pickett has had communication with the staff and recently he had a visitor at his school.

"Coach Dan Ferrigno came to our school last week to stop in to visit; we have also spoken on the phone. He told me that Michigan is very interested and they like my size and my film."

With the offers coming in from UCLA, Cal, Utah and Arizona State, he has interest from USC, Georgia and Oregon.

"I am looking at all the colleges at this time and I have to keep working hard to continue to have the success I have had."

Adarius also had the opportunity to be invited to the Army All-American combine, and he was impressed with the talent that was there, and his own performance.

"I had a chance to go up against some of the nation's best players—wide outs that were 6'3, and none of them caught a pass on me. The experience was cool meeting those guys. It just keeps you motivated to work harder."
