MADISON - Wisconsin junior center Travis Frederick has elected to forgo his final season of eligibility with the Badgers and make himself eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft.

Frederick was elected as one of six captains this past season and started all 14 games for the Badgers at center this season. Over his career, Frederick started 17 games at center, 13 at left guard and became the first true freshman in school history to start a season-opener on the offensive line in 2009.

Frederick released a letter to Badgers coaches, teammates, staff and fans.

The loss of Frederick means Wisconsin's offensive line will have to replace two starters next season, as left tackle Ricky Wagner finished his eligibility. Recommended Stories
