Moore Commits To Rutgers

University School (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) three-star linebacker Skai Moore committed to Rutgers, where he joins teammate Nick Internicola. Moore joins the class of 2013 shortly after winning a state title.

One of the most coveted prospects in the class of 2013, outside linebacker Skai Moore, verbally committed to Rutgers. Moore was a top target for the Scarlet Knights and made his verbal pledge over finalists Vanderbilt, TCU and Wisconsin.

"I made the commitment tonight," Moore said.

Moore made his verbal commitment shortly after winning a state championship with University School (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) where he plays with Rutgers commit Nick Internicola. Moore plans to officially visit Rutgers Jan. 18 with Internicola.

Rutgers has been a top school for Moore since his unofficial visit for camp over the summer. Moore spent two days on campus with teammates and built a close relationship with linebackers coach Dave Cohen. He officially visited finalists Vanderbilt and Wisconsin during the season before making his decision.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Moore ranks in as a three-star prospect and the No. 56 outside linebacker in the class of 2013. He is the third linebacker to commit to Rutgers, alongside Timber Creek's (Erial, N.J.) Myles Nash and Hargrave Military Academy's Lester Liston.

Moore is the fourth Florida commit of the 21-person recruiting class. Recommended Stories
