Commitment Analysis: Crespi DB Tyler Foreman

DB Tyler Foreman

Scout.com takes a look at what Wisconsin is getting with their new safety commit, Encino (Calif.) Crespi standout Tyler Foreman...

Profile: Tyler Foreman

Position: Defensive Back
Location: Encino (Calif.) Crespi
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 200 pounds

Recruiting: Wisconsin was not even in the picture most of the year as Oklahoma and UCLA were always believed to be the front runners for Foreman. The safety decided to take an official visitto Madison and said he was blown away and knew right then on the trip he wanted to be a Badger. It was an incredible come from behind win for the nation's elite safety prospects.

What to Like: Foreman has all the tools you're looking for in a big time college safety prospect. At 6-2, 200 pounds, he has a great frame and can carry more weight if needed. He's a physical player who loves to hit but has great range in the secondary as well. He played a lot of corner this year and has very good ball skills. He plays with an edge and is an intimidating presence on the field and has the natural leadership skills you want in a safety as well.

What may be of concern: There really isn't much to not like with Foreman. As a junior, there was some concern that he didn't make enough plays in the passing game, went all season without a pick. He had six as a senior after looking great all summer in the 7 on 7 circuit.

Overall Analysis: Wisconsin scored huge in landing a commitment from Foreman. There may be other players rated higher at the safety position out West but no one has had a better year and no one outside of Sua Cravens has more upside. Foreman has the talent to come in and play immediately at Wisconsin and is upside is off the charts.
