Booth Gets A Surprise UW Offer

Performing at the school's college workout day, Indianapolis wide receiver Dominique Booth did enough to impress Wisconsin, earning a scholarship offer Wednesday.

MADISON - After securing their top receiver in the 2013 recruiting class, Wisconsin has shifted its focus to one of the top receivers in the 2014 class.

Projected to be one of the top receivers in the Midwest, Indianapolis Pike receiver Dominique Booth was offered by the UW staff following his performance in front of UW tight end coach Eddie Faulkner at the school's workout day.

"I didn't really know they were looking at me," Booth told Badger Nation. "I didn't know they were all that interested. I heard that they might offer me during my workout, but I hadn't talked to them at all. I was surprised.

"Wisconsin is a really great, winning program. That's the first thing that pops out and that they are a top 10 school. I am excited to learn more about them."

The 6-0, 190-pound prospect finished his sophomore season with 46 receptions for 583 yards and five touchdowns.

The offer from Wisconsin joins existing offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State, and Missouri. Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Virginia Tech are also interested.

After his performance Wednesday afternoon, more big-time schools will likely follow in Wisconsin's footsteps.

"I went 12 times against DBs in one-on-ones and I got jumped one time," said Booth. "I thought I had a terrible day, but everybody was coming up to me and telling me I was doing great. I am a competitor, and that's my biggest thing."
