Goldberg Makes Eight for Wisconsin

Pittsburgh has become a Thursday hot spot for the University of Wisconsin. After getting a cornerback commit from the area this morning, the Badgers get a commitment from Pittsburgh defensive tackle Arthur Goldberg this afternoon.

MADISON - Less than two days after finishing its final high school camp, the University of Wisconsin has picked up three verbal commitments.

Two have come Thursday and both have come from the city of Pittsburgh. The first was Shady Side Academy cornerback Reggie Mitchell, and the second of which became Pittsburgh (Pa.) Mt. Lebanon defensive tackle Arthur Goldberg, who committed to Wisconsin after visiting the campus earlier this week.

"Yep, I'm committed to Wisconsin," Goldberg said via text message to Badger Nation.

Goldberg, who chose Wisconsin over offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Temple and West Virginia, felt he was nearing the end of the recruiting process when he was visited Pitt for its prospect camp last week and took part in Wisconsin's one day camp Monday.

Goldberg, who hadn't visited UW before this week, said that he was blown away by the campus, facilities and playing in the Big Ten.

Badger Nation will have more from Goldberg this afternoon.
