A Recruiting Steal for Wisconsin

Orono (MN) senior guard Jordan Smith has an impressive resume, filled with over 2,500 points and a state championship. The only thing 6-foot-3 guard didn't have was a Division 1 scholarship offer. But feeling comfortable with UW associate coach Greg Gard and some of his Minnesota buddies, Smith decided to work for an offer at Wisconsin.

MADISON - Playing six year of high school basketball, he became Orono (MN) High School's all-time leading scorer with over 2,500 points. As a senior, he averaged 21.5 points per game, scored in double figures in 29 of 32 games (including 72 points in the school's three state tournament wins) and led the Spartans to a 28-4 mark in the Class AAA State Championship.
