Jordan Picks Wisconsin
A.J. Jordan

Posted Oct 20, 2010

Holding a press conference this evening in Dayton, Ohio, to announce his college decision, four-star Trotwood-Madison (Ohio) wide receiver A.J. Jordan put on the Wisconsin hat, adding a big-time threat to UW's offense.

A.J. Jordan picked Wisconsin over offers from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue and West Virginia.

Recruited by tight ends coach Joe Rudolph and wide receivers coach DelVaughn Alexander, Jordan is the 16th verbal commitment in Wisconsin's 2011 recruiting class and the third wide receiver, joining Frederick Willis and Kenzel Doe.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Jordan is an athlete with huge upside. He’s a great downfield threat with nice blocking ability and a good frame. He has a rare combination of speed and size that will make him a nice offensive weapon when he gets more reps running routes.

Jordan took just one official visit this fall, visiting Wisconsin for the Arizona State game. He was supposed to visit Ann Arbor officially before making his decision, but canceled that that trip when the Badgers became his leader.

Jordan is the third Ohio player to commit to Wisconsin this week, following verbal running back Trayion Durham Sunday and offensive tackle Ray Ball Monday after Wisconsin defeated then-No. 1 Ohio State, 31-18, Saturday at Camp Randall.

Badger Nation contributors were at the event and will have more from Jordan this evening ...
